Treehouse & Aerial Walkway Case Study
MRS BLUE – TREEHOUSE & AERIAL WALKWAYS CASE STUDY
Mrs Blue, who has two young children, contacted PlayAhead after making the decision that she wanted to incorporate some outdoor play equipment, which must include a treehouse and aerial walkway, into her garden.
A consultation meeting was arranged and, at this meeting, a tour of the outside space took place. At this meeting PlayAhead highlighted various sites in the garden in which the treehouse and aerial walkway could be situated, as well as offering advice on other garden play equipment that could be included.
PlayAhead discussed the various options of timber play equipment that Mrs Blue could have. In the end she decided upon a design that incorporated a 12ft x 6ft treehouse with a balcony and fireman’s pole. The treehouse was fixed between two beech trees. A Burma bridge and Clatter bridge connected the treehouse to other sturdy vegetation.
The additional climbing frame, which wound around three sides of a sturdy conifer, also incorporated a climbing wall.
Within 5 – 6 weeks of the initial design being signed off Mrs Blue’s children were enjoying their newly installed garden play equipment.
