Cattle Country Farm Park
The most wonderful Adventure Playground! This Castle was 13m x 15m with 4 octagonal corner turrets, a gate-house and a 2 storey octagonal keep. There are cloisters at ground level, battlements all round and 4 different bridges giving access to the keep on both levels, which also has a full staircase leading to the top floor and views across rural Gloucestershire
Looking down the net tunnel of our castle adventure playground shows just how much fun can be had running around this fantastic castle.
The view of the back of our castle adventure playground showing the keep with its battlements and the inclined net tunnel allowing access to the top floor from one of the corner turrets. The windows have bespoke barred frames fitted and there are 4 flag poles for good measure
Throughout the design process, we were constantly aware that we needed to consider allowing access for the less energetic and able children, their parents and grandparents. As a consequence a full staircase was installed inside the keep with a rigid bridge leading to one of the corner turrets and the battlements.
Looking down from the top floor of the octagonal keep towards the gatehouse showing the battlements and the continue around the whole of the first floor and the cloisters underneath. Grass matting was installed throughout the inner play space and around the external perimeter.
One of 4 bridges installed to allow free and exciting choice of movement around the castle adventure playground. This is a ‘Burma’ style log bridge, with full safety netting, leading onto one of the corner turrets.
We use full CAD drawings not only to present our designs to the client but also to enable us to make the adventure playground when we get the ‘go-ahead’
The fourth and final bridge, as modeled by our chief tester, Ben, is the net suspension bridge, again enclosed on the sides with safety netting and leading the fourth and final turret.
As part of their huge adventure play park we were invited to install a 9m long suspension bridge extending up a steep bank. Complete with safety netting to stop the children & parents from falling off when it started to sway and special non-slip decking.
Our chief tester, Ben enjoying himself, yet again, modeling the 50m long zip wire that was installed adjacent to the Castle that completed our castle adventure playground for Cattle Country.
